Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should
pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth
the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit,
because he maketh intercession for the saints
according to [the will of] God.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things
work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to [his] purpose.
My ultimate goal in 2009 is to produce a group of believers
focused on “The Will of God for Their Lives.” I am convinced that no matter
what happens in our society, God will have and do of
His good pleasures.
Paul Morton wrote a song that said, “Lord, whatever you’re
doing in this season, don’t do it without me!” Why? Because he realized that
God was going to do something in this season and it was possible that God could
and would do it without him if he didn’t align himself with God’s Will.
Ephesians 5:17
tells us to ‘be ye not unwise but understanding what the will of the Lord is.’
In other words, don’t be foolish in the employment of your time and in the
manner of your life. Show true wisdom by endeavoring to understand what the
will of the Lord is, and then do it!
So how do we get in the will of God? The key is Eph. 5:18…
‘And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the
Spirit.’ Saints, allow God to pour into you everything that He wants to
give you in the context of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You cannot have a second-hand knowledge of
Jesus Christ!
Beloved, if you want to be filled with the Spirit and
discern the will of God for your life, you must open it up completely to Him.
Some believers have an “up-to-the-waist” relationship with Christ,
that is it just appears they are walking with Christ. You can’t even
have an “up-to-the-neck” relationship with Him. You must allow Him up to the
very top of your head where your heart, mind and entire being is shaped to the mind of Christ.
I know this sounds like a daunting
task, but we must remember the promise of Rom. 8:26, ‘The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities.’ Remain with me and you will learn
God’s Will for your life.
